I think I will go for it, but have to attend the course for 2 nights or 1 full day. It is a course that teaches us about the unit trust, yes is I think I had make up my mind to become a unit trust agent I met my secondary schoolmate and he was running a road show in my office building lobby.

We went out for drink and he told me about his current job. He said since I am buying unit trust for my own self, why not become an agent and earn your own money? He told me that for a successful KWSP transaction, you will entitle 2% and 2.75% for cash transaction. Suddenly my mind told me this might be my alternative side income, because I had friends are buying unit trust and I think I can do their business. I also had colleagues that do not buy any unit trust, because they don’t know about it and they do not have cash on hand to buy it. So I think they can be my target as well, because I can persuade them to buy it through KWSP. I think I will get my wife to be my first customer.

I agree to join the course and I need to sit for a test in order to become the professional unit trust agent. There is a check list that I need to prepare, I need to Photostat my IC, passport size photo, SPM cert or diploma cert, some personal information and of course the exam fees. Hopefully I can pass the exam and start making some additional income. My friend told me the exam is very simple, SPM student also can pass, so he said I shouldn’t be any problem passing through. So now let’s wait for the course to come.
